Surface and Contour Inductors – precise and uniform heating
Surface and contour inductors enable contactless heating of flat and curved tool and component surfaces. Electromagnetic induction generates heat directly within the electrically conductive material, delivering energy precisely where it is needed.
Uniform energy input enables precise temperature control and high process dynamics. Since no heating media such as thermal oil or steam are required, infrastructure and maintenance costs are reduced. In addition, thinner tool walls can reduce thermal mass and, consequently, energy consumption.
Typical applications include food processing, packaging technology and the printing industry, as well as the heating of containers, vessels and cylinders. Depending on the geometry of the surface to be heated, surface or contour inductors are used.

Surface Inductors
Uniform Heating of Flat Surfaces
Surface inductors are designed for the uniform heating of flat or slightly curved tool surfaces. Their design enables targeted heat input across large areas, ensuring reproducible heating processes and precise temperature control.
By generating heat directly within the tool material, thinner tool walls can be used, reducing thermal mass. This enables shorter heating and cooling times, faster process response and lower energy consumption.
Typical applications include heating tools in packaging machines, food processing equipment and embossing tools in the printing industry.

Contour Inductors
Precise heating of curved surfaces
Contour inductors are specifically designed for heating curved surfaces, such as containers, vessels and cylindrical components. Their geometry is adapted to the shape of the component, enabling targeted and uniform heat input even on strongly curved surfaces.
Contactless heating enables precise temperature control without the need for thermal oil, steam or direct contact with the heated surface. The inductors can be customized to the component geometry, material and thermal requirements of the application.
Typical applications include industrial vessels, tanks, cooking pots, woks and large cylinders, particularly in food processing and industrial process heating.
