Contour inductors for contactless heating
Kendrion contoured heating inductors are inductive heating elements for applications requiring precise and uniform heating of tool surfaces. Typical fields of application include plastics processing and the food industry.
The uniform energy input of the heating inductors enables a reduction in the wall thickness of heated tool surfaces. The reduced thermal mass increases process dynamics and lowers energy consumption.
Kendrion dimensions contoured heating inductors on a customer-specific basis using numerical field calculation methods. This design process adapts the inductors to the geometric and thermal requirements of each application.
The heating inductors are designed for continuous process temperatures up to 240 °C and operate without water cooling. These properties reduce infrastructure requirements and increase operational reliability.
