Kendrion Kuhnke Automation uses CODESYS, a software platform for many tasks in automation technology. The software is available for all Kuhnke platforms in the CODESYS V3 version. CODESYS Safety is fully integrated into the PLC programming system when installed as a package. Together with the Safety PLC and the Safety I/Os, applications in safe automation up to SIL3 according to IEC 61508 and DIN EN ISO 13849 PLe, category 3/4 1oo2 can be realised.
Programming is done with the Integrated Safety FBD Editor using PLCopen Safety blocks in the CODESYS Development System, communication between the components with FSoE (FailSafe over EtherCAT) in the EtherCAT fieldbus.
